over 100 tractors take part each year
all driven by ladies only

For the past 6 years ladies from around Great Britain have travelled to Norfolk to take part in an amazing fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness.

The 2009 run was on Sunday the 5th July

We had 96 participants on 92 tractors
(4 of them Cropmasters of some sort with a double seat)

The amount raised this year was over £32,000 -
a stunning amount in the current financial climate

There are DVDs available of the 2009 run for £10 (including P&P). The 2 discs (two cameras were used) include the run, the presentation and lots of photographs. DVDs from previous runs are also available on request.
Please contact Annie Chapman.

The total figure for the six years is over £149,000 (plus the relevant Gift Aid)
for Breast Cancer Awareness
(Registered Charity No.: 1089464)

There is already a list of ladies wanting to take part next year, which will be on Sunday 4th July (all being well!)

Annie has been awarded the Cancer Research UK
Volunteer of the Year Award 2008

for all her work towards fundraising for the charity.

She and John went to the Cafe Royal in Piccadilly to collect the award
at the beginning of June. Annie is shown here with the chairman of Cancer Research UK, David Newbiggin presenting her with the Flame of Hope award.

Congratulations Annie

Once again, we won 2nd prize with our decorated Christmas Tree in Dickleburgh Church. Thanks to all the ladies who made up the glittering collection of pink decorated mini bras for the tree, it was totally different and very lovely!!

Once again we were beaten by the Dickleburgh Flower club, so, if anyone has any bright ideas for this year, please let me know!

Each year the team has welcomed new entrants joining an established group of regulars, some of whom have participated in all 5 runs.  Last year we had 90 entrants and hope we may maintain these numbers this year.  With the present financial climate we will have to work hard to achieve the extraordinary totals we have raised in the past.  Breast Cancer is still very much a harsh reality and the threat of that disease is never far away.

We'd like to thank one of our sponsors Sweet Junkie Limited for the donation and also for the delightful little bags of sweets which were given to all the entrants for the ladies tractor run, they were great! Based in Harleston, their excellent range of retro sweets are available from www.sweetjunkie.com
.
