Very different from 2006, we were lucky to go at all! We'd had 2 months of prolonged rain and the ground conditions were dreadful. We had to abandon the flooded runway and use alternative land and miss all the off-road sections.
Thankfully the day was fine and we didn't get wet. It was on the 1st July and we had a magnificent 105 decorated tractors and their lady-drivers taking part. The journey began and finished at Airfield Farm, Topcroft (thanks again to the Woodrow family) and again, we spent our lunchtime in the tranquil Gawdy Hall Meadow (thanks also to Gawdy Hall Estates Ltd). A fantastic £28,500 was raised for Breast Cancer Awareness.
